Designing a Suite of Mobile Apps into a Single, Seamless Experience
Minetec provides clients with class-leading products and services in mine planning and operations software, mining communications, asset tracking and safety technology for both open pit and underground mining. Minetec’s breakthrough products include a suite of mobile applications, pre-loaded on a ruggedised in-vehicle PC and ruggedised Android tablet.
As part of a recent global licensing and technology development agreement with Caterpillar, Minetec engaged my assistance to overhaul and expand their mobile suite offering to include five applications, accessible to users as a single, seamless experience. This agreement would see the integration of Minetec's mobile products into an expanded version of Caterpillar's MineStar™ suite for underground and surface mining operations.
